Schöck Award for Innovation in Building and Construction 2012

10.02.2012: Feb. 10, 2012: The awards were presented during a festive ceremony at the Hotel Maritim in Ulm, Germany, on Feb. 6, 2012. Here, the laureates presented the methods and results of their scientific research in a compelling fashion. The certificates were presented by Dr. Braasch, who represented the jury, and Felicitas Schoeck as Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees.

13.01.2012: The award recipients for 2012 have been selected. We would like to congratulate Kerstin Vonnieda, Karlsruhe Institut für Technologie, Alexander Stark, RWTH Aachen and Florian Minuth-Hadi, Braunschweig University. The awards will be presented on February 6, 2011 in Ulm, Germany.

Skills development program

08.12.2011: Seven painters/plasterers from Gatschina and Krasnodar have celebrated the official completion of a two-month skills development program in their partner cities Ettlingen and Karlsruhe, Germany. Participants returned to their home cities full of new ideas, qualifications and knowledge and many impressions of German culture, society and scenery. Three weeks of intense technical training in addition to a three-week internship were enhanced by technical and cultural excursions, factory tours and a varied program of recreational activities. The German-Russian Society of Ettlingen and the Friendship Society Karlsruhe-Krasnodar have again done a marvelous job of caring for the well-being of their guests.

Vocational Training

09.11.2011: The project aimed at updating vocational training for roofers and plumbers/heating technicians has now been completed. A number of large-scale events for professional audiences celebrated the completion of the second model project for the modernization of vocational training in the trades. The Jekaterinburg College for Technology and Entrepreneurship now offers five modernized vocational training courses for trade entrepreneurs.
